Corpus Christi for Unity and Peace

To achieve CUP’s mission and purpose we offer:

  • Education and Research
  • Prayer Services of Unity and Peace
  • Events Featuring Speakers

Read below of the ways we are meeting our mission to promote a culture that safeguards the dignity of every human person.

Education and Research

“The greatest kindness one can render to any man consists in leading him from error to truth.”
– St. Thomas Aquinas

One of CUP’s primary strategic goals is to increase the knowledge of our supporters and the general Catholic laity regarding organizations and movements that reinforce or infringe on our Catholic beliefs.

To accomplish this goal CUP:

  • Conducts detailed research on movements and organizations that infringe on our Catholic beliefs
  • Writes position statements and essays that refute arguments that infringe on our Catholic beliefs
  • Provides content to be shared on our website and other media to educate the Catholic laity about these organizations to provide Catholics with counterarguments to defend our faith

Prayer Services of Unity and Peace

We promote prayer services of unity and peace within our communities as a pathway to peace, unity and healing in our nation.  We are totally dependent on Jesus Christ to heal our nation.  He is the Divine Physician.  We need our community to unite. To do this and promote peace and change the hearts of others, we must gather together in prayer.

As it says in Philippians:.
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
– Philippians 4:6-7

Prayer helps us put on the armor of God. As a result, it removes the anxiety and looks beyond the pain inflicted in our nation.  Prayer expands our ability to be merciful too.  When we do this, we listen more, promote dialogue, and learn to forgive.

To achieve joy and peace in our communities we need God’s help. Let us call upon our Blessed Mother to help intercede to our Heavenly Father.  Holding our Rosaries in hand, we call to Heaven. We pray for our Church Leaders, Bishops, Priests, the laity, the conversion in the hearts of the violent protesters, those that infringe on our Catholic beliefs, and above all, we pray for peace and unity. As Padre Pio encouraged us:

“Love the Madonna and pray the Rosary, for her Rosary is the weapon against the evils of the world today. All graces given by God pass through the Blessed Mother.”
– Saint Padre Pio

Events Featuring Speakers

  • We offer events on topics of heightened importance to:
  • Ignite critical thinking
  • Galvanize Catholics to action
  • Draw attention to issues where there is a rising threat of attack on our Catholic beliefs
  • Elevate prominently courageous soldiers of Catholic Faith

Catholics everywhere are craving truth … truth according to Catholic Tradition and Sacred Scripture.  When CUP and its supporters witness a false narrative that promotes a culture attacking the dignity of the human person we have a duty to expose the darkness and bring light to the truth and foster a culture that safeguards every person.

Live as children of light, for light produces every kind of goodness and righteousness and truth. Try to learn what is pleasing to the Lord. Take no part in the fruitless works of darkness; rather expose them, for it is shameful even to mention the things done by them in secret; but everything exposed by the light becomes visible for everything that becomes visible is light.
– Ephesians 5:10-14

“You are the light of the world. A city set on a mountain cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and then put it under a bushel basket; it is set on a lampstand, where it gives light to all in the house.  Just so, your light must shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your heavenly Father.”
– Matthew 5:14-16
